What drives strategic agility? Evidence from a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (FsQCA)

Abstract Strategic agility is a topic that has not reached maturity and of increasing interest for companies academics alike. Yet few studies assess what drives strategic in organisations. This paper aims to review how are currently obtaining identify the individual factors configurations lead it. The study draws on survey carried out with 40 Spanish services sector. then uses Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) different agility. Finally, we complement QCA analysis by performing case each reveals there no necessary condition reach it five main ways, depending combinations six factors: firm size, age, whether international, competes turbulent environment, invests i) capabilities technologies, ii) additional revenue models or cost-cutting mechanisms not.
